A new RedC poll commissioned by the EU Democrats, an EU-wide political organization, for the People’s Movement has found that Irish people are not aware of forthcoming changes to the EU's decision-making process and that they are strongly opposed to any further impositions on taxpayers to save the euro.

Responding to the result of the second referendum on the Lisbon treaty, the People's Movement pointed out that the 'Yes' vote was 'not a vote of support for the Lisbon Treaty and the new Europe it establishes, but instead a vote for economic recovery, jobs and stability'.

The Lisbon Treaty has suffered another reverse as a second legal challenge is lodged with Germany's constitutional court.
